Employment at Chapin

The Chapin School seeks faculty members who are able to transmit their knowledge with enthusiasm to students. Candidates should have an interest in contributing to the growth and development of each individual student and to the overall quality of school life. Qualifications vary with different positions and within the three divisions of the school. Teachers with diverse interests and talents outside their classroom subject bring strength and flexibility to our academic program.

Chapin believes strongly in offering professional development programs for its teachers, and staff members have the opportunity to learn both from their colleagues and from external programs and mentors. The wide range of classes, extracurricular activities, and personal development programs that Chapin offers its students also allows teachers to stretch and develop their own skills and experiences. At Chapin, the new teacher is seen as a valuable resource, a person who can open eyes and minds to innovation.

Equal Opportunity Statement

Chapin is an equal opportunity employer. Chapin does not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, sexual orientation, or national or ethnic origin. The Chapin School actively seeks diversity in its faculty and student body.

CHAPIN'S COMMITMENT TO DIVERSITY

Chapin is committed to diversity in its culture, curriculum and program. Believing that an equitable, inclusive community is essential to learning, Chapin actively seeks families, faculty and staff who bring a range of experiences to the school. Chapin embraces and respects differences in age, ethnicity, gender, learning style, physical ability, race, religion, sexual orientation and socioeconomic class. Expecting and requiring respect for others are hallmarks of our educational process.
